So don't level them.

Wait for them to disband, then let new people move into the "spacious and secure island retreats" and "abandoned island fortresses".

Maybe a little edge work at the top would help apearances, but no more is needed.

I wouldn't even call this a new map. It is like our old map got an appointment with an un-certified plastic surgeon.

I was not for a wipe until I saw how hodge podge this is upgrade is, through no fault of intelli...I'm sure this is the best that could be done considering it's possible at all.

Now, I think a wipe is in order....but I think there should be a vote post upgrade so the masses can decide. I'd like to keep credits of course so I can find a nice new place and settle in.

Casuals...

I've had cities leveled three or four times in map wipes, it's no big deal.

Some of us have been through numerous map wipes and lost everything. It's a great way to get a fresh start. Sure, it's a bummer at first, but you have an entire new map to explore and, for the first time in months, everyone's on the same level in terms of wealth. It's fun to sit at spawn and watch everyone stumble out and go in different directions.

Everyone keeps saying "Oh no! All those things I built will be gone" as if they will never get them back. That's not true. You can rebuild them or build something even better in their place. But, it's over now. Enjoy your patchwork map.
