The Book of the Forgotten
I: Before the universe there was nothing but “The Void”, a desolate land of darkness. Neither life nor light had been found, just an ever-expanding, immense plane. It engulfed and surrounded; Covering and overpowering all in its midst. The all was nothing, and nothing was all.
II: Years passed, The Void waited, expanding into the nothing… seeking… something, but in turn finding nothing. This upset The Void, he had to do something about it… he must.
III: After years of thinking, hard contemplation, The Void had decided. He must create. He gathered the strength, dreaming of things uncomprehendingly impossible. Things that awed even The Void himself. – First he created light. The Void had never seen or imagined an opposite before, always there had just been him; an ever-expanding nothing. He realized this and was stricken. “Why only I,” He spoke “In a time that could be more.” He wanted more… and more there was.
IV: The light spread, consuming and patching. Were the darkness had not gone; the light consumed. The Void was feared by his creation; he was stricken by its brightness and did everything in all of his power to move away from the vile creation that shone bright through his desolate plane. But all it did was follow, Waves of it expanding, traveling, piercing his plane, shining through; defeating. - The Void had had enough, it pushed its brain. Thinking and thinking; struggling in the force of the light. Finally a thought came to be. It was fuzzy at first. And became clearer by the second, He had it and was going to take back control.
V: It started slowly at first, winding and unraveling, blocks and blocks, covering the light; impenetrable by its vileness. –
VI: The God of Lights brain was fuzzy, a small beam of disturbance streaming into its thoughts. “Thoughts… I can… think,” said the light, stunned by its own ability and the new found images that lay before it.
VII: The Light seemed to move and crash into its new found barrier, illuminating it; crushing into it, Forming colors and scaping the land. The Void shuddered and the land quaked, the formation itself jutted; sending spirals of land into the sky, dipping into the ground forming base and nature. “What have I created, I am ALL! What is this I can not control,” Spoke the Void, to no fail rupturing the land once again; heating it, molten rock flowing in between plates of the land, spewing from the surface at every waking move. Its own voice seemed to cause destruction of the new found thing; The Void was pleased, and thought once again. – The Void screamed. Rocks jutted from the form, Crushing together, forming sand, gems, gravel, coal, and molten rock still spewing from the land. The screams force crushed with the bottom of the impending form, crushing it and deforming it. The force mashed and cemented the land, forming a perfect black plate under the land. The Void smiled gleefully at the success, and settled back down into his impending darkness.
VIII: The God of Light watched in horror at what had just happened. It stared for the longest of times, watching it form, watching it mold. - Finally the land had stopped moving. A blocky, deformed landscape had appeared… The God did not enjoy it. She pushed her new found thoughts, trying and trying to transform the land as The Void had… She failed. She looked around at the mess… “If I can't change it myself, why not create the device of change,” She thought.
IX: She watched and thought… What the device would need, she thought. She did with haste, forming the image in her mind; A machine that could form the land, change, and for a better. - Her mind exploded with images, and in midst of the haste it was created. The God of All, The Holy Creeper.
X: It stood, staring onto the desolate landscape… It looked up into the light and was blinded, its brain turned to fuzz and the light darkened… It hears a small explosion in the background, and suddenly came to be once more in a indention in the jutted earth. The creation found joy from this, “destruction with no consequences,” The Holy Creeper thought, He smiled and hoped across the landscape. The God Of Light stared down in horror at her mistake.
