it seems like this server is headed in a direction that is very different from the minerealm that i have come to love
i currently own seven realms, spread out in 4 different areas and regularly walk between them, oftentimes carrying supplies for a project i am working on. it makes me sad to think there won`t be a place for peace loving individuals like myself who enjoy mining and building and making friends. i guess i will have to just see how this all works out. i can`t imagine ever going out and looking for a different server... but the way the winds are blowing are making me nervous.

This isn't creative, its survival. SMP. Hippie "Peace Loving Individuals" will just get trampled in the coming PVP battleground, and land battles!

But seriously. You scrubs and newfries of 3.0 were never around for the realmless, borderless, and near lawless 1.0, or the vicious and fast paced 2.0. Those were the real glory days.

3.0 is a sad shadow of those beautiful days of yore.

Countries and wars would bring back our spunk.

1.0 doesn't sound all that great to me, because I prefer to have at least some minimum amount of security (griefing/theft prevention). 2.0, however, sounds incredible from everything I've ever heard about it. Still don't like the idea of having entire realms taken away from me, but other than that it sounds like a lot of fun.

Why would this make you feel less welcome on the server? You would be welcome to participate in PvP just like everyone else, and of course you would still be free to abstain from PvP just like everyone else.

The problem is this could effectively remove the choice of abstaining from PVP.
We'll have to wait and see, seeing as no one has a current view of what the country system will look like and act like. I have been informed that the old post about countries (linked to a couple pages back) is most likely out of date and not representative of what the new country system would be.

He didn't want to play chess earlier. We opted for Battleship where he accused me of hacking Logo Battleship with my methodical torpedo placement <.<
