You sir, just made my day.

As for this, I say no. Could prevent further proof/allegations from coming out. Besides, it's a public forum. In a ban appeal, you are apologizing not just to whoever you griefed, but to the community as a whole.

Basically, the problem is that a whole bunch of people who lack the intellect to properly discourse on the ban at hand stick their noses in to wish the appellant good luck, tell them how to write their appeal (*cough*LeafWarrior*cough*), or expound on the unfairness of the system/perceived lack of staff competence. Perhaps if these people tasted a banhammer more often, the issue would resolve itself, but then we'd get whining about bias from the forum moderators, etc.

So what you're saying is... Saves needs to stop being dead.

Admins are also forum mods; I don't know about game mods, though. But it definitely wouldn't hurt for there to be more high-profile forum temp-bans for things like this, or at least people getting yelled at by differently-coloured names.

Not really ironic, seeing as I think ban appeals don't deserve opinions that are of no input. Why do you think I proposed users be allowed to pm staff members opinions and have them considered if they have input they think is important? Because I can be a critic of Ban Appeals as well, but I know that they could do without all the comments extending the length of the ban appeal.

I like this idea, but the only problem is that this would possibly decrease the amount of evidence that is brought to the staffs attention. This would probably be best for less ban appeals and requests that have 8 pages like many of the well known members get. This would make it easier for staff to make their decision on the issue.

Limiting me crucifying scrubs is a terrible idea.

Huh? You actually think staff read all that stuff we post in ban threads? LOL. Staff probably decide off the persons very first post in the thread, and then skim through to see if anything relevant gets posted, which is not often. Each page maybe adds 4-5 seconds to their decision making process.
