With the many post's ive seen in the past of complaints of Kress. I vote to ban him. Im tired of all this bullcrap. He's obviously a player who knows when to suck up to a admin.

When did banning decisions start to be based on voting?

When enough people complained about Lightbulbs.

Lightbulbs was the single longest-running thief and griefer on the server, and basically devoted most of his time to harassing others.

Kress has primarily committed much more minor offenses, and is mostly infamous just for being infamous.

I'm not seeing genuine concern from rational people here, I'm seeing general internet drama taking the opportunity to boil up. If you're brandishing a sword in the nether, you are stating you want to fight. Don't state that you want to fight and then complain when you're attacked.

Though I'm also not just sticking up for Kress. Killing in the spawn room is just dirty. And you should feel dirty. Even if they're all fighty with their fighting sword, take such business outside the room.

As many problems as you have had in the last month with your store and rage quitting with the TNT, i would have thought you would have been steering clear of the nether for a while.. If you were standing at the portal SWORD DRAWN, then that is your fault. If Kress came OUT of the portal, and killed you when you were next to it, that is NOT camping. That was dumb luck on his part. Camping in the Nether means STAKING OUT A POINT for a LONG TIME, killing people as they ENTER the nether. Not Popping out of the portal and killing someone who is near by.

Now. If it were actual camping, and you had fraps of it, yea totally go for the ban.. but seeing that you have a screenshot of you being ARMED and even told how you tricked people into fighting you with a stone/wooden whatever sword while having a back up diamond with no actual proof to your story, this is a little farfetched....

As for no PVP in the room, that is a PLAYER made rule. It is not an official rule of the server. That is for the wars that were going on and was to be obeyed during the war (it wasnt but hey ya know, thats how wars go). Unless intelli makes that room an offical no PVP zone.. the player made rules have no effect.

. But Kress91 was very persistent and claimed there was nothing wrong with killing me there (an made false accusations about me holding a diamond sword, but that can be a acceptable, since it was clearly stressful for Kress91)

If you had just entered the nether like you claimed and he came into the nether behind you, he most likely saw the diamond sword, thus he did not make a false accusation. Technically if you have a diamond sword anywhere in your inventory, it referred as "holding", as "weilding" would have him saying the sword was in your players hands.

So I made this post to try to create a clear set of rules when it is/ isn't fair to kill someone in the nether. So please discuss the incident!

Phy, you are a friend but seriously... If you are going to complain every time something doesnt go your way in the nether... there is one solution. STOP GOING IN THE NETHER.

Although true, the admins have defined portal camping as any pvp near the portal. Time spent there is irrelevant according to decree of Kerovon.

Kerovon also declared his definition of portal camping to be bannable. However, I am not aware of him posting it publicly, so unless you are watching his posts you wouldn't know that.

Also, Intelli did declare portal camping to be considered a breach of rules under both 'no griefing' and 'respect all players'. However he also only posted that in a single thread and not publicly, so most players can't be expected to know that either.

Im gunna have to side with physuax on this, i have been killed alot more then a few times while in the spawn room by players blinding swingin their swords at anything that moves, armed or not. and if kress is gunna play the "self defense" card then you have to ask who attacked first? from what kress said, he came int o the room, saw phys and whent to work on him. doesnt matter if phy was in full gear and weapon drawn, if your playin defense you wouldnt of attacked first. thats how i see and i know you dont care but whatever lol

LM108 already said no harm was done.

I arrived in the Nether. armed and ready for possible camping cause we were in a battle and I was a returning fighter. I arrived to see Physaux staring at me, at the portal, with his sword drawn.

All in self defense. I'm not gonna stand idly by with a known enemy staring right at me as I just arrive from the portal.

All signs point to a camper holding a sword.
