Interesting. However, a few comments/questions.
What is the point to leveling or having guilds? I can see that party's increase xp, but why bother with xp? The only advantage seems to be access to the nether and the end. Considering the fact that I suspect many people don't even bother with the nether, this feels almost pointless.
As far as I can tell, the only actual effect any of those changes will have is ensuring a single faction will have all the glowstone. You know there will be a group of 6 that will mad grind to level 30, enter the nether, and loot all the glowstone before anyone else can get there. As far as I can tell, all this xp/guild stuff will have no other real effect on gameplay.
So, if you want these guilds and this level system, give us a reason to be exited about them. Right now, its only going to effect glowstone users and those who want to pvp in the nether instead of building.
Also, the end? Who cares. You can't get back from it, and the portals will be locked down by a few people, much like all the glowstone. Even if you hit level 50, every portal to the end is guaranteed to be owned by the end of the first 24 hours of the new map and sealed completely from the public.
Also, auto-realm assignment? Why? Consider how many players bothered to join abysus/spawn-city/roanake (apologies for spelling) and how many just went off and formed their own small groups by themselves. I will admit, the random realm assignment did help to spread people out in a big way. That was a clever move. But forcing them to stay associated with their spawn point seems kind of pointless for the vast majority of people.
Overall it is not that the new stuff is good or bad, it just seems mostly to be effect-less.
