Alternatively, I wouldn't mind keeping the entire existing map, and simply expanding map boundaries after Minecraft 1.0 is released.

I spent a lot of time building up my realms, I would be rather annoyed if I ended up losing all that work.

Yes, that would be good. Additionally, it would be great if player inventories could be transferred in the event of a 100% wipe, in order to have a chance to keep at least some of the valuable materials we've worked to get on this server.

I still very much prefer that private realms be kept, however.

I was for a full map wipe before, but now that I have spent time in New Frogtown and looked around other big cites, I do not.

All the hard work players have put into their creations, gone. I do not like that idea.

I voted for the public realms to be wiped, what was discussed and voted upon before.
