I beat it using the cheap way, have him do the splts and inch along and drag the hurdle with you. The best I've gotten legitly was like 30m.

Similar to those lines, if you get to a position where you are "taking a knee" you can inch along pretty much forever as long as you keep torso upright (and the wide base makes it pretty forgiving)
