The map is really pretty damn big, I don't see the urgency for a size increase....but yeah waiting for 1.9 to FINALLY drop is getting a bit hard to do.

The reason he wants to increase the size of the map, isn't because he wants the map to be bigger, it's so it will generate new chunks, which will add more from 1.8(Strongholds, Npc villages, abandoned mineshafts, etc.)

And in those new mines we can find melon and pumpkin seeds and than we got a better version of what is 1.8
Those 2 kind of seeds are rlly rlly rlly rlly wanted by me, i want something else to harvest

How about this.... We spawn in a single melon seed, its fair, not really hacking. Then, we can share the seeds grown by this melon (seeds are craft-able from melon slices) and populate the world with melons!

I like this idea. How about increase the map size by 1 chunk size all around the border, to 10,032 x 10,032. then we can all hunt for the melon and populate the current map.

1: Ewww! No melon seeds until wipe. If we spawn one, it still seems like the server would be legit, but that one seed will start something huge, and what was started will all be from the only non-legit thing minerealm did.

2: Are pumpkin seeds even accessible in any way?

This really annoyed me at first, but it's only a month, so I got over it. =P Anyway, this means there will only be one wipe needed to get us up-to-date. So if there is only one wipe, will our realms/items/credits be transferred over like intended in the original 1.9 wipe plans?
