I'm the oldest of all my siblings and cousins. I don't "take" sh** from them. Plus if you're nice and a good role model for them they usually idolize you and want your acceptance. Then they won't annoy you.

My middle cousin looks up to me like crazy (He's like....11). Kid calls me every other day, either trying to get me to come over to hang out, for him to comer to hang out, or to talk nonstop about his latest video game obsession (It's Minecraft at the moment).

Last time he called me up just to say that he learned how to make TNT and that he was blowing stuff up. It's like "Really? You're calling me for this?"

Well that might be an annoyance but he's not deliberately trying to bother you. Rather hr likes you so much that he wants to spend a lot of time with you. Which can be a bit annoying at times, but that's not his intention. When little kids WANT to annoy you, they can get really irritating.
