Okay, so I had an idea this morning for a donor perk. It probably won't fly but I figured that I would give it a shot. Basically, I was thinking that donors could have the option of making their realm private even if they do not have 5 members. It doesn't seem like a super huge perk and with the limited number of donors, we shouldn't run into a scenario where there is a large number of private realms with less than 5 people. This doesn't really benefit donors who are already a member of a larger realm, but they'd always have the option of starting their own realm. And that is about the extent of thought that I put into the idea. Any comments?

They should still need more than one member- I'd say 3 members and 50x50 and I'd be fine with it.

Maybe 2 regular people and one donator, or 2 donators, and 40x40.

This does not encourage members of large, already private realms. That seem to be the most likely to be long term and donate. We need a perk that encourages all members. Aswell on the subject of donation perks going towards helping all members of a realm, it does not give any perks if another person in the realm donated.

It doesn't really matter anymore as the limit was dropped for everyone. Also, there probably won't ever be a donor perk (which doesn't really bother me at all). I didn't donate to get a perk, I donated to keep the server going. A perk would have just been an added bonus.

Could we maybe have this thread locked or moved to the trash section? It is basically a dead topic.

This is why people should donate. Once we add a perk it ceases being a donation and players are just paying for a perk.

That is at the host's discretion, but I suppose I could follow that policy


Also, I'm with JD, we shouldn't need a big flashy perk to get everyone to donate. The definition of donate hints towards being an act of goodwill, not something you do in expecting some great benefit.

Something small like free LBG tickets (as per the host's decision) or an awesome teal (turquoise?) tag before your name does the job perfectly, though.
