What I don't understand is why people would x-ray for gold anyways? It is very limited in its uses.

Agreed o.o;; I dont even build Railways to use the gold for..

Personally I'm always on the lookout for gold/Iron, for the purposes of the subway. I skip over redstone/coal, because I have double chests full of the stuff.

Thanks for looking in to this Intelli. I'm not angry, I dont think anyone on here is, we're all just kind of...shocked lol. These sorts of scripts are useful in keeping down xrayers, and I support their use, but I think the tolerances are off somewhere. I'm confident in Intelli's ability to find the problem. Thanks in advance for keeping us up to date on what you find.

I can vouch for the whole script being off thing. I've never used a mod on this server, and never used x-ray hacks in single or multiplayer, yet I got banned. I feel that I know why though. The script, to my knowledge, detects users that find a certain amount of rare ores in a period of time (I'm guessing 5 minutes or so..). In my case, I found a huge amount of diamond in a cave far away from spawn, all based on luck. I imagine that with the addition of the script looking for those who have found a lot of gold recently, (a more common ore) that a lot of people were banned unfairly. This purge just seems like a total misunderstanding at the fault of the script.

Gold is very easy too find, and I also didn't x-ray, I learned my lesson after the first purge.

I swear, I find so many veins of gold ore, it's not even funny. Certainly not as much as iron, but I find it more than I find Lapiz. I don't even need a banning to learn not to x-ray.. but unfortunately I guess I got banned anyway for something I didn't even do :shock: All I can say is hopefully Intelli and the staff will investigate the code, see how many people are banned, and maybe undo the bannings that seem out of the ordinary.

Same story here, never X-rayed or modded whatsoever, still banned. It would be pretty stupid to X-ray for such a useless mineral anyway.

I guess I'm lucky to not have been mining in the last few days. Otherwise I could be banned too >.<
