Ever since the 1.3 update there been slimes permantly in are mines. Even if you kill the big ones they just spawn more. I'm not even able to mine the lower levels of my realm because of them hurting you, pushing you, or lagging the game so bad u have to disconnect. Since you can't kill them please disable them or lower the spawning of them to what it was in before 1.3.

i agree with this. mining is impossible at lower levels due to this issue. please have them removed

I don't believe there is anything we can do. You would have to talk to Mojang about it.

Even if they wanted to if I recall the slimes are a client side issue.

They are client sided, and their spawn rate is something done by Notch. If you relog, they disappear, well it at least happened for me..

I have yet to see a slime.

The spawn rate is really weird. Sometimes, my lowest level is filled with them. Other times, I can go for a half hour without seeing one.

Don't know if it helps, but I think I read that their spawn rate is affected by how much area they have to work with. So big cavernous mines are most likely to spawn them (such as the main section of my lower mine )

I figured out yesterday that a lava bucket will kill the otherwise invincible tiny slimes. Not sure if that was unique or what, but if your slime infestation is reaching epic proportions lava might be the fix you need.

Slimes are most likely to spawn in open spaces near dungeons so caverns within a few blocks of a dungeon will most likely fill with slimes.

I've never seen one either, even at lava level with open spaces.
