It's lagging like crazy...

Also, the server needs some kind of command that lets the players trigger a restart (/voterestart from 50% or more of players or something), if that's even possible.
I love minerealm but it's laughable that a 100 slot 24/7 server is constantly plagued by lag issues with less than 50 people on, to the point it's unplayable.

I don't know anything about minecraft servers, but what's the cause of all the lag? Is it a software or a hardware issue?

I love this server and the mods on it, and i wanna donate to it and help is run, but how can I if i can't play for more the an hour without lag clogging up the works? Please help
