Kress91 is instead once again showing his genius by predicting the future problems that might arise if the size of realms were decreased to 10x10. New players will be thrilled to learn of the new price, right up until their hands get so tired from typing the "realm purchase" command over and over again. They will probably complain to the only person who can make it easier for them to purchase realms, which would be ironic because he had made them smaller so that the new players could afford them in the first place.
What Kress91 is thinking is that, yes, making realms smaller might be better in the short term, but in the long term players will begin to complain about micromanaging. Besides, working for your first realm is a unique Minerealm right of passage, one that should still cost 10,000 credits and yield a 50x50 realm.
The mention of blockading cities makes Kress91 break into a double smile because he is an academic scholar as well as an expert Minecraft player and model citizen. He recalls the mighty Trojan War, the Siege of Constantinople, and the Battle of Stalingrad. Just remembering all the wonderful facts and stories that come with the rich history of the world we live in, well, he just can't help but smiling.
