I didn't have any mistakes that i can remember, but I did play singleplayer for like 6 months before i started miultiplayer.

I drooled over x adventures in minecraft for a month before I got the game. No mistakes only because of that.

(edit) Built a two story wooden house, put a lava lamp in, didn't worry about fire because I had glass around the lava, and burned my house down twice. (I almost cried when I saw the flames)

When I started (not long ago) I didn't really do anything that noobish because when I paid for Minecraft I spent a week waiting for my payment to go through, during that week I researched information about minecraft, got ipod apps, watched videos, ect...

-the first time I played I kept left clicking to try and break stuff instead of holding it...took me like 5minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong >.>

On my first single player map I got so lost in a cave system that I had to start a new map.

In the days I lived in a cobble house on SP, I had no idea that you could change view distance. So naturally, on a trip for wood, I lost my house 25 blocks from the entrance... *Facepalm*

When I first started out, very first time, tried breaking a block with the right click. Also, I had no clue how to swim for about 2 weeks of playing, died so much.

I also couldn't figure out how to break blocks when I played for the first time. I kept left clicking but nothing would break. That's pretty much the only thing...

Well, there was this time in Tinderbox 1.0. I had a lava incinerator next to my house in a room of cobble. The hallway outside was wood. One day I logged on to find that not only my house had burned down, but my friend's too, since he had linked our houses with a wooden bridge. I rebuilt my house, went off mining, and then my friend (the same one who's house burned down with mine) tells me my house is on fire AGAIN. So I had to rebuild twice. Apparently, lava can light up wood blocks that are quite some distance away.

Kress was lucky his house didn't burn down with mine too, there was a tree farm between our houses and the leaves came really close to my roof. Our town really lived up to its name...
