Start mining out the walls of the Nether. You won't find anymore glowstone, but hey, more easily-acquired safety and expedition! =D

Srsly though, the Nether isn't going to be a "safe" place where you go to "explore." It's filled with lava, ghasts, and people ready to stick you with a diamond sword the instant they see you, it ain't for people who aren't ready to get PvP killed (which is why I never venture into the Nether). If it's glowstone you want, you're going to have to buy it from someone else because a lot of people on Minerealms view glowstone being an unrenewable resource as a good thing.

Hmm, I could see glowstone replacing diamonds as one of the core traded goods.

Just a single stack of Glowstone DUST costs 1200 RC. To get a stack of blocks it would cost 4800 RC. Even after the X-ray hackers were brought down I have still been able to buy stacks of diamonds for 3000 RC.
