That's not being fair, it's called laziness.
It could also be looked on as the wrong person /party winning because people can't be bothered to vote.
Murcia pride when it suits?
Everyone should have the right to not vote.
I'm afraid of empowering any corrupt figure. I hate pretty much everyone in left or right wing of politics. Though if we leave it to the ol' "Electoral college" we could be screwed even more. Though this isn't my issue, so what political position is up for voting in Canada right now?

That's a fair point but. But if you don't have a say in how your country is governed then you shouldn't complain about things like obamacare, the right to bear arms, or other political issues when you can actively do something about it.
I went out of my way to become an Australian citizen so I COULD have a say.

FYI I'm not aiming this at anyone, just generalizing.

So thank you elections Canada for making it almost impossible for me to vote.

The reasons for this are as follows, I do not drive, I either use the bus or my friends to drive me to and from work. Elections Canada sent the voters card to my parents and not to myself, apparently I do not exist. Their cards tell them to vote in a town that is two towns over from us, when it is still in the same township it is really hard for all three of us to travel to it, and my parents have a car. All three of us work that day, if I was allowed to vote in the town that is actually part of the voters area and not two towns over I could go into town in the morning by taxi , and back to my house, this other town is too far for myself to take the taxi , and the bus only comes once every 2 hours, making it almost impossible for me to be able to vote before work.
My parents are equally frustrated , they might not be able to make it to the station to vote, because of work either. I would like to point out that 30,000 Canadians were sent cards that told them to go to the wrong poll stations. And even more of us are being told to vote in areas that are inaccessible to us.

I know the political platforms for each party , and I have made my choice based on my ideals for the country I live in and no one else. So not only would I love to be a voter, I an an informed voter and that makes a difference.
Make sure you give this information to your parents too: You don't need a voter's card to vote. You just need to go to a polling station in your riding with a piece of photo ID or two pieces of ID, one with your name and one with your address (e.g. passport and bank statement, library card and utility bill). An alternative would be to go to any Elections Canada office in Canada and vote there. You can vote any day before the 19th at an Elections Canada office. You would do well to phone or email Elections Canada. I don't have all of the answers. I do know, however, that a voter's card is NOT accepted as proof of identification anymore so do not try to use that as a piece of ID. Good luck to you, and beware of Conservative cheating.

EDIT: This is probably a better explanation than I can give.
