On the other hand, if I had joined Minerealm with all the decent players playing on an exclusive server that I could only catch glimpses at via a linked chat, and I was trapped with the new players... well, I wouldn't have stayed very long. Something to keep in mind, I guess.

Exactly. If I am correct (I may have to go back and reread) there will be no linked chat either! The experienced players will have all gone to their exclusive server, while the new players wreck the current one, and have no one to guide them.

I am sorry, but this is a terrible idea. If you think ripping our good members from the server we play on now, is going to do ANY good, then I think you are mistaking.

applications created on the forums, but simply creating an application to play on the Vanilla server won't necessarily get you on it.

You will be able to apply. And be accepted or not accepted.

And, most likely as i see what hes going for here is players who have been loyal/ aren't complete idiots/and have played a long time.
