I hope you do not consider this intrusive, masdustruction, but I would like to point out a few things from your appeal thus far and how I think they can be interpreted. Hopefully you understand my constructive criticisms and can continue in forward and positive manner with your appeal process.
masdustruction wrote:Yes, i did know at that time that it was against the rules. I dont really know why i did it, but i did.
Alright, that was a good start. You admitted to the wrong doing instead of trying to lie. You were caught, but you did fess up and that shows some character.
masdustruction wrote:I would just like to say im sorry for doing that.
Another good thing. An apology. It isn't incredibly well written out, but it sounds pretty sincere.
masdustruction wrote:Thank you for your time and reading this, i hope i can join the fun community of minerealm soon. -masdutruction
All right. Like I said, this isn't the best written appeal but it seems legitimate. Ownership + A Pang of Guilt+ A Warm Regard = a good way to start out an appeal.
masdustruction wrote:I really wish one of the admins would take a look at this....
Oh, wait. Getting a little impatient after only 4 days. Our admins are people and they have personal lives. Just keep bumping once per day (or even every other day), and you'll get looked at. A constant and patient bumper shows remorse and intention to possibly rehabilitate.
masdustruction wrote:People do change.
Not a very strong argument, and one that people use all the time to pull some old quote from some long dead philosopher. In actuality, people don't change. Not unless they truly desire to and make an effort to change over a course of weeks and months. It takes time and effort, it is not a given.
masdustruction wrote:I admit i used to hack and i wouldnt follow rules. On any server.
Bad idea. While you might have been caught hacking, your admission to purposely not following the rules on ANY server shows a blatant disregard for obeying rules and the tenants of fair play.
masdustruction wrote:Recently i deleted all my hacks because i started to hate the fact that i had to look over my shoulder when playing, make sure no one was watching etc...
Oooooh, so close. You almost recovered by stating that you deleted all of your hacks. That would have won you back some brownie points, but then your reasoning was terrible. You deleted the hacks because you were not wanting to get caught. Not because you realized that it was unfair, and that you really enjoyed the servers you played on and wanted to be a part of that community. It is like saying "I quit robbing banks because I didn't like that it made me nervous."
masdustruction wrote:I swear i will NOT break the rules, atleast not knowing that i am in anyway shape or form. I really do want to be unbanned. I know its a long shot.. But please.. consider it.
Making promises or swearing that you will behave isn't something that our Staff can really trust. They have heard thousands of promises to reform, and just like they did to you, they had to reban that person within 2 weeks time. If you say that you wont break any of the rules you know about, then why don't you take the time to read ALL of the rules and learn them well. Had you done so after your first ban, maybe you wouldn't be predicament that you are in currently.
My advice to you, of little to no value as it is, is that you:
#1 Decide if you really do want to take the time and effort to be an contributing member to MineRealm, thus abiding by all rules. Otherwise, go cheat somewhere else.
#2
Read and
Learn all of the rules before you continue your appeal process. They can be found here:
http://www.minerealm.com/community/view ... =20&t=4200
#3 Continue to exercise a contrite and apologetic attitude. I think you have done a good job so far in this, but keep in mind how badly you messed up. Learn how cheating actually hurts others and why the MineRealmers on the server might want everyone to play fair and just have fun.
#4 Keep trying and stay as respectful as you have.
If you show that you have actually learned a lesson and our awesome Staff decide to give you another chance.... don't screw it up!
