C and E are connected.
D and F are connected.

Resulting in R(CD) = R(EF) = R(AB) = 3 ohms.

Absolutely, when considering the full circuit. I meant the resistance of that half of the circuit in isolation, showing how I'd arrived at the R(AB) solution. I should have explained that though because yes, what I've written is technically rather incorrect
