Tell me, Rokkr. Can you honestly refute any of that? (That's rhetorical.)
Heavy objects≠botting.
bot/botting (bɒt)

n.
a device or piece of software that can execute commands or perform routine tasks, as electronic searches, usually without user intervention.

It is still botting. So yes I can refute it. There is no user and you are using a device(tape) to execute what you want.
Rokkrwolf312 wrote:Whether this is legal or illegal it comes down to really one thing. How can staff discern whether you just taped down your mouse or using third party programs/hacks?
Rokkrwolf312 wrote:Either way if you are constantly hitting the same spot and staff try to contact you/kick you and get no response expect a ban.
This has been argued before and will end the same it's simple just don't do it.
Sharp_Enderman wrote:I actually agree with that. My wonderful list of silly conspiracies was to prove that there's some inherent level of trust, no matter how small, between the staff and the community.

Just because a farm can be ran AFK with a heavy object or with an external program doesn't mean that the farm is immediately labeled as illegitimate because someone could be using the latter method.
I never said the farm was illegitimate but afk clicking is.

They can do either cube.

Ah, gotcha.
One more question, though. How would you discern between someone taping down their mouse key while still watching the computer vs someone who's just holding down the mouse key with their finger? Either way, they're still watching the screen and can respond to any messages addressed to them.
Wouldn't that be the same condition as discerning between a full-bright hack and just having their brightness settings turned up to 100%?

The person who is still clicking while responding is obviously not holding it down. The issue he brought has nothing to do with a user being there.

Possibly, either way what your asking has nothing to do with what he asked. Those are two separate scenarios.

Also:

If we had screenshots it's easy to discern such things but yes that is one that can be argued. Though many players still claim they can't see with brightness maxed.

Well, not entirely. The afk fishing farm just requires the player to somehow hold down the mouse key with a non-body part. Using a book or tape brings falls into this requirement.
As for full-bright, screenshots can help identify full bright, but how often does that occur? As for 100% brightness, turn the computer brightness up and turn off the lights. Your pupils will dilate (you need pupils to play minecraft, so we can assume everyone as at least one) and your eyes will take in more light, making it easier to see.

No what your asking a player/user is still at the computer. Whereas what he asked he wouldn't be at the pc. So again if staff questioned you and no response you'd probably get banned.
