It does work. You can even hit buttons and such through walls by doing this.

Perhaps, then, you could use a two block deep wall using 4 pistons? Plus, as of right now, it doesn't seem like many people are taking mist PvP seriously. How often will you encounter someone during the mist? I barely see anyone on my realms in the first place. Besides, no one even goes beyond the first few spawn realms in Spawn PvP during the mist.
If you so happen to be caught in spawn when the mist occurs, you can still /home and get yourself out of there. It's not like normal PvP where you can't port home.

You who is mining for diamonds and getting 4k credits per hour, or the hunter who needs to wait for the mist and find some random person across the land to find and kill within the 5 minutes the mist is active? If someone did find you, you shouldn't be annoyed. You should feel proud that you're not the one wasting your time hunting. Furthermore, hunting is a terrible waste of time. Nobody would be doing it.

If you're worried about this making minerealm a "pvp server", you're way off. It doesn't. Not even close. This is so small that I would vote to remove it just because it's not dangerous enough.

No, their reward is the satisfaction they get from having a negative impact on the experience of another player in an online world. It's the same reason someone sees a building and messes it up. It's called griefing. And I want to point out that I'm not a player who is afraid of getting killed and losing items; I'm just afraid of pro-griefer changes being a detriment to the server.

So how about you and anyone else who wants to PVP just go do it? Don't force people who hate PVP to partake in it just because you find it fun. Literally nothing is stopping you from doing what the mist already does, minus forcing people to partake in it.

I think we all (me included) should stop to argue now. Nearly every argument can be found at least twice, spreaded over various threads.

The mist will stay a while and everyone should see how it affects his gameplay experience.Until now I haven't heard of any unfair kills at home.

I must say that although I'm still against people being forced to Pvp (and yes, if you are automatically turning a players Pvp thing on, you are forcing it) that I participated during the mist event twice yesterday. First time only killing once out of timidness and the second having a few kills plus of course dying myself a couple of times but it was actually so much freaking fun! Players kept saying to just give it a shot before totally turning down the idea and they were right. I loved it lol but it does not mean that other players will not ruin it by doing jerk like things.

And for those saying that being killed by a player while at home minding your own business is the same as being killed by a mob... it's not. A player steals your stuff. If you die from a mob you can always run back and save your stuff.

This is why I'm trying to play a 'Gentleman Bandit'.
Sure, I'll take your stuff, but only until the end of the mist if you want it back. If you don't want it, woo, I get free stuff. If it's, like, diamonds, then I'll ALWAYS give it back. I just wish more people did that, and then there would be fewer complaints about this. :S

We should be more focusing on good sportsmanship here, not just getting rid of the PVP. it's fun as long as there aren't jerks stealing everyone's stuff for keeps.
