The reason I love MineRealm is because it isn't one of those random PVP servers, but a business and art-centered server with a friendly community that also allows PVP. The most exciting time I've ever had on MineRealm was when I was mining and grinding, chatting with my buddies, saving for realms, and having a generally good time. Later, I tried to bring back that excitement with PVP, but failed.

All the Mist will do for me is drive me away from Spawn and other players. Optional PVP? Hell yes. Forced PVP at random intervals? That isn't the kind of server MineRealm is...that isn't what it's for.

Jack, its obvious there is no wish to try to find a way to also make 28 players on the server happy. Only 31 matter. I'm done arguing. The decision has obviously been made. Now its up to each of us to decide for ourselves if we can continue to enjoy playing here or not. I'm still deciding for myself.

I would just like to say, try staying for a few days and see how it goes. I am undecided about the mist, but it is still very early on in how it is implemented. I want to see how it ends up working out, which I doubt we will know for a little while. If it does cause too many problems down the road, then we will probably end up looking at revising it.

I'm totally with Jen on this "invalid" thread. I know I'm late to comment and all but this thread was created NOT to REMOVE the mist but to CHANGE it.

The way this server has been lately, I can see why people like Jen and myself among others are considering leaving. I know no one is keeping us here so I don't want to here any crap from anyone like "if you want to leave then leave." It'll happen soon enough.

All of you considering to leave, just give it a chance please, it would be sad to lose people about this It happens quite rarely (at least in the time I played). Additionally I often saw people returning their stuff to each other after the mist was gone.

This is just my personal meaning though and not meant to offense anyone.

I know that at least if I kill you, you can ask me for your things back because I have chests dedicated to holding players' things. If the person I killed was holding lots of things, I go home, put it in a chest, affix a sign and return to battle. After fighting, always feel free to ask me for your stuff back. It would be nice if everyone did this, but in my experiance most people were kind enough to pass it back once it ended.
Plus, one thing is that if you don't live near spawn the chances of some random passerby slaughtering you is very low. I even just stay out and work all night long sometimes, and I've never been attacked...
