Village Mechanics - Doors are now added to the closest village. This will not break iron farms, but change them a little, enough to make them "practically pointless."

A nonrenewable material becomes easily craftable and a cheaply farmable material becomes practically not farmable.

Well the biggest gripe I have with the update at this point is the nerf to villager trading. I am pleased however that iron and gold farms will still work without having to collect thousands of the mob for manual killing. Also its my understanding that the most recent snapshot only breaks ridiculous exploits of village mechanics like the iron foundry that produces thousands of ingots in 2 hours.

The old fashioned tower model still work to my understanding. and the ability for villagers to plant and harvest crops is interesting and has me hoping for additional abilities of villagers that will make them useful for something more than just blacksmiths and librarians are usually the only villager type you want hangin around.

As far as the whole being able to craft semi rare blocks thing goes I think its high time we were able to. I dont really care about the whole value being destroyed, no one ever bought them anyway. And had no real use other than just a building material we dont have very much of.

Well, I can't imagine they'll revert the crafting recipes. Seeing as how they added the mossy stone recipe after adding the mossy brick recipe, it must have been due to popular demand.

I'm displaying my extreme displeasure with change. In my case, this is a bad change. For iron farms, I was planning on using a heap of iron in a build (if I ever got around to designing and building an iron farm). Now I'll need to use a different block.

I don't have any problem with the changes to iron farms and mossy blocks. My iron farm with only 1 village will still work just fine, and so will the ones with multiple villages spread far apart. What won't work is just the crazy ones that make the game think there's 40 villages there to constantly spawn iron golemns.

I do have a problem with the changes to villager trading though. Blacksmiths will NOT sell diamond shovels, helmets, leggings, or boots AT ALL. And they will only sell diamond picks, axes, swords, and chestplates that come pre-enchanted with an almost certainly useless enchantment. Everybody is glad that repairing will be cheaper, but you need blank picks to repair your enchanted ones. Those will only be obtainable by actually mining for diamonds.
