Look at it this way. If the US government were to hold a vote for a redesign of my house, it would be ridiculous; it's private property. But if were to hold such a vote regarding a reorganization of the White House, it would be much more reasonable. Really, it comes down to the following question: is Spawn considered Intelli's private property, or is it considered property of the MineRealm government?

"Spawn" is the central 30x30 of the map under spawn protection. Anything beyond that is "private property" of the realm owners.

Thanks Intelli, I must have misunderstood. I assumed that "Spawn" extended all the way to ColdF3ar's, Frosty's, and Roobean's realms (and whatever it is on the fourth side) based on the teleporter.

I would stay that part of my point still stands (it is the responsibility of the spawn realm owners to make them look good) but if it's considered private property, then you and they can clearly do whatever you want with it. Mitchie's design looks nice, though—I'd say that it's worth considering adding to the realms as a personal suggestion.

Intelli, VVolfie, Torn and others...

First, as far as I get the English language, a suggestion doesn't mean "trying to enforce" anything, a suggestion is... a suggestion. In this case the community earlier have even been encouraged to present ideas for the spawn realms. To call a suggestion "exceptionally rude" and "disrespectful" after that isn't fair at all. VVolfie from where does the comment about "you would have asked first" come? This whole tread is a suggestion/question. Its not like they have already built the new spawn in game. And when you say "Last time I checked we aren't leashes at everyone's command." I don't get it at all since I had no idea that you owned any of the four spawn realms?

Second, how I look at this, no one have tried to enforce changes to any realm, they offered their help to fix the four realms that are the most important realms on the server. Obviously the owners don't have any idea or time to make anything of it themselves, if they let this happen, no one have ever even suggested that the owners can't change it again. How can it be rude or disrespectful to ask if you can help someone? As far as I understand they even offered to make the changes them self and nobody expected the owners to do anything (but possible give perms) themselves.

Third, this has nothing to do who owns the realms (at least not from my point of view) whoever, staff or not staff. That's just an assumption you do. "...have to change spawn however you see fit as long as it's suggested by the player base.." Who have even said that? What everyone just wish for is a decent spawn. Which obviously the owners them self doesn't care for. I don't mean that I believe the owners don't have any plans at all, but why not let it be OK while they decide what to do with it. It has been like this for several months now.

Nope. It was pretty much an accident. We didn't know where to post it while we were building it... we were thinking maybe server discussion but came to the consensus that it's a suggestion... so we went with the suggestions forum. Rokkr told me, and then we created the new thread. Thats about it. It's not like we were protesting the rules of this subforum or something like that.

Clearly I need to brush up on my forum rules...
