Who's "hating" on him. We're merely saying how Eetrabs actions arent exactly ban worthy. Just because someone has a tendency to say half way unpleasant things doesnt mean they should be banned just for expressing their cynical opinion. He never outright insults anyone in a profane or vulgar manner. He expresses his opinion bluntly and truth be told I think Eetrab has his place in the forums, hes the other side. Expressing sometimes the unpopular opinion and while you may not agree with it, and may even take it as a personal affront its not sufficient reason to have him banned or silenced.

Also, Eeetrab isnt just like a forum troll who just says negative things at every turn. He posts on threads to set the record straight most of the time. For instance here where he helped put an end to the bickering on Lighting's appeal.

Last I checked this was Lightning's ban appeal not a free speech convention. Let him do what he wants–taking the advice or not–and staff will make the appropriate judgement. Unless someone has something meaningful and relevant to say, it is probably wise to stop commenting.

He can sometimes be the only voice of reason in a thread, and he also posts on ban appeals to assist, not to flame.

While there's no reason to have this ban be accepted I also dont see a reason for you to go above and beyond with the drama Meow, no one is saying your crazy or stupid. Or that they dont like you. Its important not to confuse disagreement with outright hatred. Now just let this thread fade.

Oneman why are you still here? Don't you have better things to do than contribute (albeit not much) to a forum linked to a server you will never, ever join again?

Let me set the record straight for everyone:

I post my opinion on a forum, where other people post their opinions too. Mine may not be all that positive but that does not mean you should try to suppress it. I may as well move into a totalitarian society of that is the case. If you don't like my opinion, either (1) ignore it, (2) respond to it or (3) PM me about it. If you post something stupid–this ban request as an example–that doesn't mean I will 'hate' you for life, I will just call you out on it.

So, to everyone who is in support of this request, good for you. It's good to know that we don't live in some monotone, one diminutional society where everyone is in agreement with everyone else. Perhaps, just perhaps, think about doing something meaningful with that difference in opinion rather than chewing me out and getting all emotional on a nonsensical thread.

Let's ease up on the fuming here. A frustrated mind is never a logical one.

Meow, your frustration is understandable, and I can see how Eetrab's remarks might be offensive to those that he directs them at. Is this forum ban request necessary? Perhaps not entirely, but it is well supported and I can understand why you made one. No, I do not see this ban request as a stupid idea. Although, seeing this does show that Eetrab's bluntness does affect some people, perhaps in ways he didn't intend it to. If I were Eetrab, I'd take this ban request as a "Hey, your candid remarks might be offensive to some, so you should be careful of how you use them." Of course, Eetrab, you don't have to restrain yourself because your being told to. The decision is all yours. This is merely a recommendation.

Still, I'd recommend problems with ANYONE in general should first be settled by confronting the person and discussing the problems that you have about him/her. If the person is so arrogant that he/she won't speak with you or won't change their ways, then I'd suggest resorting to ban-request measures.
