My PC is aging a tad but I've been trying to keep her going by buying upgrades over the years. The biggest part of her that shows age is the processor. Would very much like to get an i7 in there but that requires me to also replace my mobo. So its an upgrade I dont plan on doing for a while for now shes powerful enough to get the job done, especially since most of what I play is MC. Specs are as follows

Memory- 16GB Corsair DDR3 2000 Processor hexacore AMD 3.4 ghz GPU 4GB Nvidia gtx 680 classified
Hard drive- just an ol slow poke seagate 1TB Power 770 watt

I hope in the future to upgrade my cpu, throw an SSD in there as well, along with replacing my ancient LCD monitor with a nice LED IPS display at least 27''

My laptop is a gamer republic ASUS i7 2.3 ghz, 12 GB ram, 550 GB hard drive, with GTX 670 3GB card

The i7 certainly makes for a smooth gaming experience which I hope to see in my own PC someday also she handles certain older games better than PC mainly because they were originally optimized for CPU performance which is where my laptop exceeds my PC. However with newer games like BF3 the GTX 680 handles amazingly, not a hint of jitter at 80+ FPS, the only thing is I dont really like playing it haha, I just like to look at it. However older games like TF2 run pretty bad I never get more 30 fps in the middle of the battle on 32 player servers which is frustrating considering the money I dropped on the GPU but its one of them games that performs better with CPU than my newer card. All in all though I'm very happy with the way my PC handles Skyrim running 95 mods including ENB series Realistic shaders. And hope to upgrade the monitor so they look even more fantastic.

Happy Gaming and Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you too. My old PC had an i5 processor in there and it ran fine for COD games, BF3 and Bioshock and stuff. What problems were you having with the i5 or whatever you have for your desktop?

from a previous post your specs thread wrote:Intel Quad Core i5 3117U @ 1.70 ghz up to 2.4 ghz
HD7670M with 2gb of dedicated graphics memory
4GB RAM
750GB hard drive with a 500GB external hard drive (I put all my games on this as this is a school laptop)

I don't do much gaming on my laptop, it blacks out sometimes when playing certain games and the keyboard get ridiculously hot even when playing something like Fez or Bastion.
