I am staying clear of my villager dome, so as not to invite loading the chunks and losing the villies. My neighbor's iron farm is now baron, and I don't want to suffer the same fate. Do we still not have an update or fix to this?

Oddly enough the villagers I had separated from the beat of the group have always been there even though I run around near the farm all the time. Its really quite odd that everyone else is starting to have an issue because I seem to still have the villagers I value the most.

Are they getting massacred by zombie sieges? Those happen independent of light level. And they only happen in and around actual villages (having at least one "house" and villager).

EDIT: I forgot zombie sieges have been around longer than this recent disappearing of villagers.

The only Villies that despawned or killed on me was at my realm by spawn and my others are fine.

My villies that despawned were far from spawn. They were at the max capacity of 40 villagers for the realm. The iron golems in the realm didn't despawn.

I have a couple of villagers in another realm with no other mobs in it that haven't despawned so far and none of my cows, sheep, pigs or horses have despawned. None of them are at full mob capacity for their respective realms, but the sheep might be close.

I wish we could get some official insight into if this is intentional or not and if not is it a bukkit issue or a MineRealm issue.

Also, I believe there are no zombie sieges on easy/default difficulty.

The other day my villies in the iron farm despawned for the second time after having just secured them in their respective cells not 6 days before. 96 villagers in all I had to inject into the farm spread across 4 realms, it'll be another month at least before I muster the mental fortitude to attempt to fill the towers again. Then again they'll just despawn again anyway so theres not much point.

So far I'm just glad that the despawning has been restricted to my villagers and chickens and not my cows pigs or horses. I'm hoping that this will be resolved whenever we get to update to a newer version of bukkit whether it be 1.6.4 or 1.7.2. I probably wont attempt another refill till this happens, its just really annoying.

And yes I've seen zombie sieges on MR.

We are talking Coke Can close to spawn here eah, -350/-125ish.
I have villies in the 2 realms right next to it and they didn't despawn, well 4 out of 20 of them did.
I gave soul_knight some replacements to get it up and running again though.

Update.

I was in my newly built trade hall this evening and when the game saved it wiped out all the villies in the realm I was standing in (25+floaters) and also the villie breeder in the next realm.......
Yet for some reason this did not affect the other mobs in adjacent realms, only the villagers.

On the plus side I have a zombie spawner in the breeder realm, built specifically there in case this did happen.

Not sure if this info is of any help whether it be a Minerealm issue or a bukkit one
