I have one question: Will a biome map be released before the wipe so players can compare their current terrain to the one in the wipe? It would help us make more informed decisions on whether or not to opt our realms for wipe.

There already was a map released to see which realm will be wiped and which not, but to see the private realms who get wiped Intelli would need to know what private realms would be wipeable and that ppl can only decide when they know how the new map would look like

This is a very well thought out proposal. I agree very much with this, as the biomes are sometimes boring; seeing the same thing every time you log on.
I also loved how The Imperial HQ Relam was made into a haunted house for Halloween!

If possible i'd like to remove long sections of subway located on public land before the wipe so i can upgrade and replace it afterwards is this okay ?

As long as you put it down, you can take it back. But I'd wait until a date/timeline is announced before you start taking your tracks back so the subway functions as long as possible.

3. Intelligently determine what realms to wipe

One of the issues with the last wipe, was that there were weird chunks of land left over, depending on where the edges of realms/chunks were located. To resolve this, we've created a system that only wipes areas of realms that are at least 150x150 in size.



This means that if there's a single public realm, surrounded by private realms, that public realm won't be wiped.

In this example map, green and yellow realms are public, and set to be wiped. Blue realms are private realms, and white realms are public realms that won't be wiped.

Sometimes you have to squint and/or tilt your head to the side in order to see the blue area in the middle of the above map. If your still having problems finding the blue area in the middle, double check to see if you have your monitor switched on.

So I'm here to ask, how long before this proposed wipe takes place. Unless I am misunderstanding the [ACCEPTED] on the thread title.

If I am does this mean the server is staying the way it is. If that is the case how are new people supposed to explore and see new areas (my friend and I tried to play and ran into big red message of "YOU HAVE REACHED THE BORDER" and gave up because we couldn't find a relatively "virgin" area to try and build on.

We don't really know at the moment.
The wipe should occur within a month or two I hope.
But we'll all be informed as to when the wipe will occur at least a week before (probably).
