I agree with this sentiment, but I would like to point out that, if anything, prices would drop upon a map wipe. Dramatically. Like 25rc per diamond dramatically.

Yeah that is true becaise there would be more diamonds. The other thing is if the chest are wiped then ends stone will skyrocket in price

I prefer a wipe and I honestly don't care if we all have to start from scratch. Doing so will bring new experiences along as people working together and try to make it to the top again. I guess I'm the few who voted for option 1.

This is the only post I see in this whole thread not talking about their massive wealth they have attained. I used to be one of those players where gaining the most credits was everything to me, hell, I even wanted to go to a million credits at one point last year. But, then I started thinking "playing games shouldn't be about being the most wealthiest, it should be about the experiences and fun interactions I have with other players." Now, I have no problem with a total wipe and that's not because I won't miss the fun times me and my friends had building the original Arcane orb. It's because I want to be able to have more fun rich experiences like that, the memories will never fade away. And, if option one really does fall through, I hope that Intelli gives an option to download this map for the veterans and players who spent a good amount of time building.

I like Techno's idea. In addition: there could be special days once in a while, when the map goes online for multiplayer (second world) for people who want to visit their stuff in groups.

Me personally, I would find myself living off that map download for a long time. If I wanted to reset myself to punching trees, I would go elsewhere or play single player. Im here on MineRealm because I enjoy the community and I've worked hard to get where I am so I don't have to punch trees anymore if I don't want to. I can still have fun with all the projects I have lined up without resorting to savagery.

Literally all I'm looking for with this update is some fresh land. Im just sick and tired of finding gross areas and being forced to build on water inorder to get away from it all. Hopefully we can just keep this simple and implement some special coding that will attempt to blend all the wiped land together decently well.

This is just an idea Intelli is proposing. It's not set in stone. Your items aren't going anywhere for the time being.

That's what I would do, personally. But frankly I don't care- it gives the landscape personality, and I love exploring and parkouring through ruins.

That still won't fix the issue of stale land, and you'd never get enough people to commit to that.

I feel a wilderness wipe is in order and possibly the public land wipe if applicable. With the wilderness and public land wipe, users will be able to visit newly generated chunks with the new biomes and blocks. This is a factor that will not affect the long term members and still appease to both the new and old members

Please also take this into consideration: Do not disband everything. This sounds awfully ridiculous for a veteran Minerealm player like myself, who is not very rich at all, to have to buy back previously purchased land, that one already paid the 10,000 credits for. This also applies to the credit reset.

I'd also appreciate the level.dat for the server before the wipe so I can still work on my builds. I put too much time into this server if it's really going to come down to the "Freeza's Death Ball" option. I'm proud of the hard work I've put into this server and I feel this is slapping anyone who enjoys the server in the face.

As far as I can see, if this plan does go through, I and many others will be permanently leaving the server. I don't want any of this to happen and I don't want to leave this server because I love it so much. I want it to continue to grow without shunning the needs of the people that have worked hard and put hours into it!
