So I'm watching some videos on GTA V, and the driving and damage physics look absolutely horrible. It looks far more arcade-y than GTA IV, and there's little to no deformation on the cars during crashes... If this is true, then I'm not even going to bother torrenting GTA V when it launches on PC. (Unless the modding community fixes the handling/physics.)

Well you can break your car to the point of it being undriveable, wheels hanging off etc.
And the car handling is a million times better than GTA IV, sure it's arcadey but isn't GTA supposed to be arcadey?

Arcade-style driving has absolutely no place in a 300 Million dollar game. It just reeks of them catering to the whining ingrates who wanted arcadey-style driving back from the older GTA games. And the car deformation during crashes is practically non-existent from what I've seen.

Good job, Rockstar, you effectively ruined the driving in GTA.

It's GTA, it isn't supposed to be realistic.....
Arcade style handling has every place in a 300 million dollar game.

The game is far from perfect or a 10/10 for that matter, but if the handling was anywhere near as bad as in IV I would have thrown it back at the shop owner.
Spinning out uncontrollably every time you brake is not my idea of fun.
I think you're missing the point of what this game is about mate.


Side note, has anyone checked the user reviews at metacritic lately?
All the PC fanboys giving it 0/10 for not being released on their beloved machine yet.

Good, the game deserves flack for not releasing on the most lucrative gaming platform, and Rockstar deserves every bit of bad press for it. Not releasing a game on PC this day and age when the next console generation is right around the corner and uses the exact same architecture as PCs is inexcusable.

The game is already the second best selling game on the 360. I think it's a good thing they didn't make a pc version on release because that takes more resources out of making the game better, and I rather have a good game late than a bad game early (for your consideration pc gamers) They will probably release it on pc within a year and it will be worth the wait, I think. So sit tight! As Shigeru Miyamoto once famously said, "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever." And you can't give a game a bad review for not being on your preferred platform, that is ridiculous. If the game sucked, you wouldn't care. Let's be reasonable people! xD

Because the average gamer in this day in age uses a PC? If you haven't noticed PC gaming has been winding down over the years due to piracy, and they try to prevent that and just make it worse for those who stick around. And let's be honest here if they released it for PC at the same time it would be a console port so it would be just as bad as half the other games that are being released. Do you really want a console port of GTA on PC?

Just fyi GTA isn't intended for next-gen gaming so that argument is a bit invalid, however they do have plans to release GTA V on next-gen in 2014.
