I think adding ice under the half slabs that are already there is a great idea. Coordinating everyone to set their beacons to be the same and having them strategically placed seems too much to ask for. Not only is it hard to plan, but it also makes it harder for staff to tell if someone is speed hacking.

I'm pretty sure staff alone have enough beacons to cover up to 500 blocks in any direction & most of the realms

Would be ok I guess to have an ice pathway to move along faster. Without the blocks above it anyways .

I like the ice idea, but the beacon idea doesn't sound like it would work.

Well I didn't know people would be against this idea, and here are some reasons why.
1. They like to walk at a normal pace.
2. They don't like change.
3. They misinterpreted the post to thing that this meant replacing the roads entirely with ice, and that I am forcing it amount others to put ice under there spawn paths.
4. They won't be able to tell who the speed hackers are.
Well to all those who own a part of spawn road I suggest putting ice under the roads half slabs, or putting a speed II beacon up. However Im not sure about the speed II beacons because of what Burt said.

Doesn't ice slow you down when you walk on it? Rather than run.
