I got into it by, after years of pointedly avoiding this thread, eventually clicking on it for the lulz and because I was bored. I read through it, thought it was funny, and watched The Mare in The Moon with my siblings and got hooked. I then found EQDaily, fimfiction, etc..

I got into the show because of all the memes I saw of the ponies. I loved MLP when I was a kid, but I never realized they made FiM until last year. I was just going to watch the first episode and be done with it, but obviously that didn't happen. xD I loved Fluttershy's character from the beginning and that's what kept me watching until I really got hooked on the show.

I just realized that Iron Will is smarter than he seems. He offers assertiveness training, right? And if it doesn't work, it's free? But if it doesn't work, what's the chance of the pony being able to stand up for themselves and refuse to give him money? Of choose, Fluttershy broke that pattern, but it's pretty smart when you think about it.
