It was definitely worth it, I loved the movie. I'm going to put some key points here that have no spoilers, then put the spoilers... in spoilers.

1. It was great. Ignore what the internet says, they're just disappointed they were wrong.

2. They captured the characters well and everything, wasn't too bad.

3. TONS OF CAMEOS. Keep a look out for lots of characters.

4. A certain red stallion has some serious dance skills as a human in the background, along with Twilight. /sarcasm. Scootaloo does the best chicken dance.

5. They even covered the topic of alternate universes and all that sciencey stuff right. They made it exactly the same as Equestria, just on Earth. This is a quote, it's not really spoilers, but just in case you want to know nothing at all.

Pinkie mentions knowing a girl who looks exactly like Twilight with a dog named Spike living in a nearby big city.

6. The music is good too.

Yup, that's all I can say as for the movie without spoilers.

Granny Smith is the best lunch lady ever.

I wish the Crusaders had gotten more lines. I loved the part where the uploaded their performance to YouTube, though.

No one really had any problems with Twilight being a purple pretty pony princess. Makes so much sense.
