She bought it at a knock down price of 1000 bits from a dear old Pegasus who felt they were getting a bit too old to fly around safely.
The indoor plumbings a mess and the thing leaks rainbows like no tomorrow, but at least it's got a great view...

Fluttershy is probably best off in the woods. I see no problems there.
Twilight lives in a library. It could be a wooden shack and she'd probably never notice.
Applejack own a large amount of land, and lives with family. She might only have a small house, but she has lots of land. And considering one of the episodes on the first season, I think she'd take all the help she could get on the farm.
Rarity makes clothes. Can't expect a big house considering that "They don't usually wear clothes."
And RD is Faust's favorite of the six. It's only right she lives in luxury. Besides, I'm sure due to Pegasi only making up a maximum of 1/3 of the population, and that the house is made of clouds, that the houses in the sky aren't exactly as expensive as the ones on the ground.

Over-thinking is fun.

Well, I was going to base he cutie mark off if the name...
No backstory yet, but she i a Pegasus with a bit of a playful but calm nature. She's open to friends, but has trust issues. She tends to talk more than she listens, but is always eager to help, but reluctant to be helped.

Most people have the cutie mark say something about the OC maker. Such as, I enjoy writing, so I'd give any OC I'd make a Pen and Paper in some fashion, But the endless possiblities of making an OC having the cutie mark based off the name is nearly endless.
