You shouldn't be touching anyone's items without their permission or staff's permission, I understand the frustration and the logic behind it but they still weren't your's.

As far as items go, well if you ever get looted or griefed staff can roll back the missing items. All you have to do is ask, so as far as being protected till you 10k well that's what staff is for. So essentially you are protected 24/7.
