Reason for Ban: Swearing
When: Approx. 2:30 PM GMT (Standard Time)
My first swear was an attempt to get rid of an excessive spammer who had been spamming constantly for about 5 minutes with obscene words (with extended vowel sounds to avoid the filter). In an attempt to encourage him to swear himself to an auto-ban, I said 'Sh**?' , seeing as he had taken up the role of repeating my every word in spam form. I hoped he might consider it okay to swear repeatedly and not get caught. I apologize for this inconsiderate breach of the rules, my judgement was clouded as I was becoming infuriated with the spammer for clogging up chat and obstructing player conversations.
My second swear was a typo soon after, and I have no idea what it could have been. I have noticed that, tonight especially, I was having trouble hitting the right keys while touch typing, missing keys and hitting adjacent ones instead. Might be that I'm tired, or just that it isn't my day. Either way, it was an honest mistake, and even if I don't get unbanned I would please like to know what the typo was.
One swear was an attempt to remove a pesky spammer, although I now see that I should not have done so and instead should have simply waited for an admin to come online and deal with the spammer accordingly. The other was an honest mistake, but a mistake that would have been just a mistake with no consequences if it weren't for my first breach.
I would like to ask to be forgiven for my blatant disregard of the rules, I have learned my lesson not to swear, even in circumstances that may seem justifiable (since no situation is justifiable), and not to let spammers/trolls lead me to break such rules. However, seeing as this isn't my first offense or warning, I do not expect great lenience from the admins of MineRealm.
