Meh. Nothing too exciting.

I'll be buying it though, as well as the Wii U (once a few more good games get released). I'll probably skip the PS4.

All I can think of after the Xbox reveal is "Xbox, go home, you're drunk."

Well the name was a bad choice for one ;D

Should've called it Xbox really, but people will get used to it. They got used to the Wii lol (I didn't) The kinect looks a lot more fluid and faster responding but I doubt it will be in the 4 feet of bedroom I will put it in. The ability to go to tv like that saves me the trouble of pulling wires out and in but that's cause I never got that thing a ma bob with the switch, so thats kinda convenient. lol I don't know nothing BLEW ME AWAY. More people online and persistent worlds online sounds awesome. The same interface was kinda a bummer. I think the kinect actually may be the ringer, game developers are going to come up with really cool ways to use that thing not just for the wii wanabe games but hardcore shooters etc . . . thats what I hope, at least. However the choice of a Smart Glass instead of a display on the controller like the PS4 I think will come back to bite Microsoft later on as well. At E3 we will see what kinda games were getting Halo 5 most likely new franchise or two, that always has been along with the online the deal maker for the xbox. Blue ray player is obvious decision. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET VIRTUAL REALITY? The Kinect thing with the projector is a step in that direction, I was hoping this generation that would become more of a direction I guess. It's a decent pc lol

you enjoy your free crappy online, and I'll enjoy my awesome online gameplay, with my well spent money ;). But to be serious, I'll be getting both...just sayin.
I think the Japanese underestimated the Online desires of the American market. I wouldn't expect them to make the same mistake twice.

Either way, I can't support MS any longer. I don't like having to pay extra just to access subscriptions/functionality I've already paid for.

This next generation I'm going to be sticking with one console (because this generation I owned both big systems and only played the Xbox) and I think it's going to be the PS4.

Having it recorded as I was going to miss it. 26 minutes in and they just now started mentioning about gaming with it. Quite disappointed that platforms today has to be a multi media, all-round entertainment system. If I wanted that I just buy a pc of my liking, or bring out my dusty tv with built in dvd/vcr and plug my ps1 into it to make it so. Though I stopped skipping through the recording when I recognized the open mouth of requiem in the background, cause I am a halo fan. Skipped some more till I saw the world premier of call of duty ghosts. then it cut out and I deleted it and started the GameTrailers TV special on it to watch the trailer.

More disappointed that it ain't backwards compatible, even though I didn't plan on getting it or getting rid of my 360. But mainly to answer your question at hand. My thoughts on the xbox one is unimpressed and wishful thinking.

Btw, I heard some other stuff about the xbox one. can anyone confirm the following(cause I skipped a lot of the recording).
  • Charging a fee to play a pre-owned game
  • Must install games directly to the system, which will devour memory
  • Still charging for online

Those points are "sort of" confirmed by articles on various websites.
I am not going to buy the next xbox, for the last 3 gens I have gone with N64, PS2, Wii, PS3. In the past I wasn't a "hardcore" gamer like I am now. For the next gen it has to be PS4 for me, xbox only revealed 2 exclusives out of the three they showcased, that tells me they care little for games anymore. Also a point on the tv aspect in Australia we haven't got wide adoption of cable like America does. Hell, we don't even have Netflix because the people that tried to bring it here were a bunch of morons. And my ps3 isn't even in the lounge room in my house (cause not everyone in my family likes gore), it's in my room where, one, my wifi has a horrible ping, two, I have no tv connection. I'm also not getting xbox anytime soon because I don't play multiplayer that much and I don't have the money to handover just because my friends want to come over and play some cod.
*wheeze* *huff* That's... Enough.... Ranting... For me, I'm out...
