Hello, my name is Ryu_Aurora and I have a violent hatred of stupidity.

This entire suggestion is idiotic. The fact that Staff immediately mutilated it should have tipped you off. That it hasn't only reinforces the points I'm about to make... so allow me to proceed to try desperately to nail something into your head with my logic hammer.
zoomer wrote:If a player breaks the rules Maliciously or if they break the rules without intent;
"A poor person steals food to feed his family or a rich person steals to buy drugs"
"stealing an apple for food or a Million bars of gold"
etc.

Using the above I would suggest the rich person equates to a certain type of new player
A poor person might equate to someone who has played on the server for a while.
Dictionary.com wrote:ma·li·cious
adjective
1. full of, characterized by, or showing malice; malevolent; spiteful: malicious gossip.

2. Law. vicious, wanton, or mischievous in motivation or purpose.
If a player breaks the rules, they do so "maliciously", on the grounds that they didn't read the rules to the server. If they aren't bothering to read the rules, they clearly have no intention or care if they end up banned, or do something that would lead to them being banned. They're at Spawn. They're on the MR wiki. They're on the Forums, with links to the blasted things EVERYWHERE.

Your metaphor for rich - new/poor - old players is broken as well. I could argue that players with more money shouldn't be banned because they can contribute to the server more. It's also blatant favoritism and leniency, and SOME leniency is ALREADY granted in the case of newer players, barring someone who clearly joined with "malicious" intentions.

Taking a brief break from smashing your suggestion with a brick, I'd like to talk about this statement.
zoomer wrote:rich person steals to buy drugs
This isn't just stupid, it's plain incorrect. The "rich" don't NEED to steal, not to buy drugs, not to buy food, not to buy anything. You know... because THEY'RE RICH. Your position is actually somewhat insulting to said rich people and veteran players, saying all rich people are evil and addicted to drugs.

Moving on...
zoomer wrote:the word appeal does not mean apologise

an appeal is a process for requesting a formal change to an official decision
Dictionary.com wrote:ap·peal
noun
1. an earnest request for aid, support, sympathy, mercy, etc.; entreaty; petition; plea.

2. a request or reference to some person or authority for a decision, corroboration, judgment, etc.

You know what inspires sympathy? Apologizing for doing something wrong. Even in the judicial system, leniency is occasionally shown when regret for ones actions are shown.
zoomer wrote:... so that someone does not feel worried about getting banned unjustly for a long period
I'm trying to be fair to your idea, but everything you type makes my head hurt. Firstly, Staff can check EVERYTHING. If you are guilty, they'll find out. If you aren't, it's usually cleared up, and damaged forum reputation is usually fixed if you ask.
zoomer wrote:can it be locked thanks
Nothing would have been lost if it'd been locked when it was spawned.
zoomer wrote:I think this thread might be useful to others now
Yes. "How to have a suggestion seriously savaged by Staff and sadistic players who're severly sick of stupidity".

Nothing wrong with banning... There is something wrong with this suggestion. All I hear from this "suggestion" is that people should be banned cause they are treated equally. This isn't even a suggestion just sounds like a matter of opinion. -1, I laughed at the fact this was even suggested.

Suggestion: Stop making suggestions for a while.

zoomer wrote:if it was 100% certain they broke the rules why bother with appeal
Cause I got banned for griefing a place that happened 4 months ago, I payed the consequences, however, does a silly mistake like that make me completely give up my responsibility to my city and I should move on? Of course not and the effort I put forth is far to great o just blow off and say "well i didn't like this server anyway". My point is that if someone were to put forth major effort into something, it's unlikely they will give it up because of something blocking their way (like a ban) which is why people appeal to them all the time. Also take in that people enjoy the community and also love to play on this server because they find it enjoyable.
