Partially a misunderstanding.

And crying? It's not crying it's reporting grief like everyone should be doing but everyone seems to want to take things into their own hands and then guess where they all end up? From what I am also being told, is a lot of the grief was rolled back so the logs are there, they don't go back as far as you are saying to October but the track is fixed, so I don't see how it was that old.

I guess I'm having trouble understanding why I'm still banned. Is there some kind of mandatory time period?

The reason I was given for my ban was because I was supposedly "griefing" by removing some tracks. Which I explained was done as part of a two step process to repair something. There is no malice in my actions, I was honestly intending to do something good, for everyone's benefit.

I understand now that I should of "asked permission" and that it was my mistake to try and do something without getting approval first.

Yet somehow I get the feeling from your replies that you don't believe my intentions.

I most certainly did not do anything with the intent of "causing trouble" or bringing "disappointment" or "misfortune.

I can honestly say, the only disappointment that I have here is the lack of faith in my actions, and my commitment to this server over the last two years. And I'm disappointed that when I supply my reasoning, that my I'm basically being questioned on every point, which in my line of work is the same as being called a liar.

At 47 years of age, I've done a lot of things in my life. I've served in Government office, in the Department of National Security, honorably, for twelve years. I'm a life long martial artist, and a teacher. I work in my community and volunteer for the Sheriff's Posse. I've raised children as a full time parent. In all that time I can honestly say that "being a liar" is not a part of my lifestyle.

Perhaps its because of the wealth of lies you have to deal with daily, we all see it, especially with the vast number of griefers and opportunists that log in every day. But I don't think my actions over time should lump me into that category.

I'm mostly retired now dlgn - and I like to do things with my boys, they are teenagers, and my youngest loves to play Minecraft.

Its a good way for me to be "involved" with his gaming.

Plus I have problems with Insomnia..... It gives me something creative to do.

Incidentally - Rokkr - my son just logged in, and the main area I was talking about, the HUB is still not in any kind of repair.

In the Nether at X -38 Y 6 Z 86 -- the Portal is still inactive, there are still some signs of lava there, and of the ( 4 ) separate rail lines running into the hub, only ( 1 ) has in any way been restored, although it is still wholly unfunctional.
The other ( 3 ) lines, two formal ones with tunnels, and one sort of hacked through the netherak addition have NOT been restored or rolled back....

It was the WHOLE of this area that I was going to repair - as it obviously is not functional, and has not been for some time.... If you check it out you'll see what I was talking about.

Only reason you are still banned was your tone last night came off as being sarcastic and smartalec to me, and it was 3 am and I had to work in 5 hours so needed sleep. I have no intentions on keeping you banned, I just wanted to make sure we had a understanding that if there is grief report it. It is better to find out it is to old than to do something unintentional.

As far as it still being griefed, well then I don't know what to say, from what I have seen/heard about it was a rather long stretch of line you had removed so perhaps this is a separate area or possibly the same line somewhere further along. We will try and get this resolved.

Edit: Im looking over the logs now and trying to figure out why there is sections you skipped over if you were removing all the track to replace the blocks underneath?

Well, I'm not altogether perfect - I got through 3 tunnels and realized how many power rails were missing and needed, and figured I better get some made - and I needed about 20 stacks of brick to lay for the ground work - I was in the middle of getting that stuff together when (blamo) you're banned....

Rokkr, if you look at the rails, starting from the "hub" which is the center, the coordinates I gave earlier, the rails extend out from it in four different directions.

Each of those lines was broken, and hasn't functioned properly as a whole for a while.

The most recent one went through the back wall into the Netherak, and was the newest line, and basically wasn't part of the tunnel system.

My plan was to redo the hub itself so its a 4 way spoke, instead of 3 way, and run a tunnel in brick for that new line that heads out and I believe connects to xsyntaxerrorsx portal area. Move the nether portal that was griefed, and is still unlit, there to the side and reactivate it. And reinforce the ceiling over the hub a few layers deep so people can't keep knocking holes and letting lava in. My son and I were looking at it, and it appears that one of the three tunnels was "partially" rolled back since I started working on it, that would be the one tunnel that I'm assuming started the whole issue. The funny thing is, if you look at it closely, the track is broken, and missing parts, and holes in the walls, and blocks on the track, etc... So even though it was "rolled back" it wasn't repaired.
