That said, although I agree that vetnubs are bad, I think the current system is fine, or perhaps the current system combined with the 365 hours system. In any case, there are more important things for Intelli to implement.

Well I'm glad someone actually see's the current problem with the veteran achievement.

A change of hrs played and blocked placed/destroyed would be something to add as well.

When you consider the amount of people who have the veteran tag these days, it isn't much of a big deal. Why not simply make the veteran tags for those who are considered actual veterans from 1.0 to early 2.0, and not just for those who have been here a year. A year is hardly nothing these days on Minerealm.

12 months of continuous realm ownership (even just 1 realm) could be an accurate indicator of being a veteran... at the very least you're logging in once per month to keep your realm(s) from disbanding..and seems likely to be easy to track. Just a thought.
