I like this addition. A rideable mob that you don't have to drive with a carrot on a fishing pole would be nice. I like rideable pigs but does not seem the same as a horse. I would like to see the ability of horses to sprint. I don't think pigs can do that while riding.

One other thought - Please don't tell my son that horses are comming. I am having enough trouble convincing him he does not need his own account now (he wants his own ninja skin, that's why I had a ninja skin this past week). He does not play online and that is how it's going to stay for a while.

I hope they add more stuff for aesthetics and to build with. Like placing a fence post upon stone walls, and sideways stairs

^ as in the link states, the longer you stay in one area, the mobs will get more aggressive and/or well equipped.

Necroing with what to the best of my knowledge is new information.

Per the wiki, there will also be donkeys, which reportedly will be able to carry chests on their saddles. It states that no inventory is currently available for them, but perhaps in a future update packs of donkeys can be used to shuttle large inventories between distant locations?
