There are alot of concepts that our server talks about pretty much on a daily basis. You don't have to answer all of these, I'd just like some feedback to see where the people stand on everything. Thanks.

A.Enabling PVP (identify whether you support restricted pvp, as in certain areas or conditions, or unrestricted: anywhere)
B.Enabling TNT (same deal with PVP)
C.Enabling Fire (spreadable or nonspreadable)
D.Allowing Creepers to destroy blocks (they currently do, there is talk of not letting them do that)
E.Strengthening of hostile mobs (stronger attacks, more health, more mobs, powerful creeper explosions, etc.)
F.Creation of Realms (following minerealm 2.0's guidelines for realms, read the thread)
G.Whitelisting
H.Server Reset (would be to implement realms, new chunks, awesome-er terrain, etc.)

EDIT: Thanks for the input. I just like hearing where the server stands. Here are what my responses would be:
A. As cerevox mentioned in a different thread, unrestricted PvP would mean that any idiot that joined could just run around punching people. I believe in 2.0's suggestion of the restricted PvP, as it gives us more of a say in the matter and allows for cities to act as "safe havens".
B. I'm honestly not worried about griefers getting their hands on it. I'm not saying it's impossible to come by, but if you're new to the server and all you have is a stone sword, you would have to hit up quite a few creepers while dealing with natural server lag, plus you would have to gather sufficient TNT. The benefits it would provide to intensive miners (such as building the subways) far outweigh the slight risks of griefers super-destroying something with it. Plus, admins/mods will be notified when it's placed, and if it's placed by someone they don't recognize, they can easily check it out and diffuse a possible grief.
C. I'm not sure about this. Some say they would prefer spreadable fires, and maybe it's just our wooden tree-farm talking, but I would not be in support of this. I would like to have non-spreadable fires, though, as they are good decoration and provide excellent lighting. Seeing a bunch of torches stuck in random places in the ground is a bit unsightly.
D. They definitely should retain their original purpose. Otherwise they wouldn't be the exciting mob they are today >>
E. I have to agree with eagle, I don't think we should change the mobs at all.
F. I am in support of this idea, and many have done a great job weeding out the possible technical problems with it, so it sounds pretty solid. I agree with jdankk that if Realms were to be implemented, it'd definitely have to be on a new map since it would be very difficult to expand Kurachi without building useless buildings.
G. At one point I would say "yes" to this because it'd limit griefers/ people looking to screw around, but at the same time it'd dramatically drop the amount of players we have on here, and I like a populated server.
H. Again with letter F, I am very intrigued by the concept of realms, and so I will probably be, once enough updates come out that convince me to switch, in support of a total map reset. I'm not afraid to restart a city. I've made enough good friends on the current map that starting anew will be just as, if not more exciting.

Server reset:
no, please. I don't see why we should, there's billions of uncharted acres and I saw kurachi and aquaria for the first time yesterday. Looks like an awful lot of work went into them so lets all just keep this map.

PvP should be on or off, not on in some places and off in others. It will be difficult to clearly mark which areas have PvP enabled or disabled, and will only cause confusion and contempt due to an inconsistent experience.

TNT/Fire/Buckets/Creepers should be on and unrestricted, or they should all be disabled and there should be a 24/7 anti-grief task force of mods.

Beefed up mobs should only exist if TNT/Fire/Buckets/etc are all enabled and unrestricted.

Whitelisting will kill the server.

I am for a server reset, as there have been great changes in the land generation and types of blocks that show up in newly generated chunks (trees and lapis for example)

I started playing on minerealm when HP was not even a part of multiplayer, and everything was disabled (tnt/buckets/fire/etc), so the server was pretty much full on creative, and it was fun. Then the server split into creative and survival, then they merged back together and created a watered down experience.

In my mind there is creative or survival, not both. You either need to let the players do what the players will do, or you need to 24/7 enforce the restrictions that you're trying to impose in order to make it full on grief-free creative.

I see the server reset as being necessary:
1. Don't you want to not have to travel for multiple minecraft days for the new content (ie birch trees, lapis lazuli and pine trees? Resetting the server would make it easier to access these areas because they'd be everywhere.
2. how are you going to expand your realm if you've already built your necessary buildings? It would be very difficult to expand a realm in an existing place like kurachi because you'd have to tear down and rebuild.

Just saying, that no one should ever get too attached to their minecraft creations. There's always a chance that the map could be corrupted or some new content notch puts out would force us to make a new map.

Wow I hadn't thought of that. Good point.

I agree with these points, but would like to add:
-I would like to enable TNT, fire, and creepers.
-Er... why would we strengthen the mobs? As I said in the minerealm 2.0 thread, I think we should keep mobs just as Notch made them.
-I agree with jdankk too.

Why ty :D

But in reality it's not the worst thing in the world if we lose Kurachi. If we start anew, we can learn from the city's mistakes and since we already have a sturdy base of people willing to help, starting an entirely new city would be exciting in a new way. I'm sure mdk and doc feel the same way about aquaria.

Server reset is good. Being thrown naked into wilderness is the fun part. Once you have your diamond armor and weapons and tools its almost pointless. Any reason having to do with the very minor new trees and ore are total BS. Ive already seen tree and ore several times.

PvP areas are marked apart. You get a message upon approaching a new realm, so you are warned of a pvp change. No surprise or confusion unless your blind. And in that case, you probably can't play minecraft anyway.

Whitelist = Bad.

As always i am for free lava/tnt/fire/creepers with no restrictions. However ill take what i can get as i don't consider any of those to really be critical to the play. Water buckets though, those we need. Creepers are a very noticeable loss and will be missed if their blasts are gone. tnt is only good for cannons and landmines, the really cool stuff, so meh. Fire would be awesome but it gets abused like crazy anytime its enabled, so none of that.

Also, i have been playing on minerealm since before i was even born, using my vestigial tail that fetuses have to type and use the mouse. Since i have the most time on server, my views count for more.(this is sarcastic, if you can't tell. Time on server means nothing. Your ideas should be judged on their own merits, not seniority. That or having access to the dedi, that makes your votes count more too XD)

I didn't mean for it to sound like I was trying to count as seniority. I mentioned playing on minerealm when it was creative to give a contrast of how the server was fun when it was creative, and fun when it was survival, but markedly less fun when it was some sort of compromise between the two.

PVP: i'm for pvp in set areas, definetly not spawn. i wanna make sure that when i'm carying something on me its safe and i don't have to worry about being killed, whereas if i enter a pvp area, i would leave my stuff at home so as to not have to worry about loss.

TNT: i'm all for tnt, there are alot of fun traps that can be made, but theres also an obvious griefing side to it, if it were regulated, like we could only carry maybe 5 at a time that would prevent people from griefing as much

Fire: well this is simple, non spreading fire, every time fires been spreadable theres been huge forest fires & wooden towns compleatly destroyed, i like building with wood so i don't really like spreading fire

Creepers: i personally have never had a creeper destroy anything of mine, so i don't really care

Mobs: i don't think we need stronger mobs, the only people that arent challenged by mobs are those with dimond armor, so they should just not use the armor if they want more challenge

Realms: i think it would be intresting, not completly sure how it works but then we could have creative & survival realms

Whitelisting: this i'm both for and against. i'm for because lately minerealm is losing its comunity feel, there are so many new people ive never heard of that i don't care about having to know 100's of people vs having accepted people that are more comited to the server and not "just browsing"

Server Reset: i'm not crazy about a server reset, this is happening quite often lately, and i'm tiered of losing everything. there will always be more updates to this game where people will want a new map each time, right now all thats new is some trees and one new rock. if people are willing to destroy everything to get easier access to it, then why not just walk out and get it. like people say this is survival, stuff shouldn't be on your doorstep, you should have to go on an adventure to get it! i'd really love to see the map truely grow, where we'll have streets and many towns all conected, and a whole lot more buildings, its all being cleared so often that whats my motivation to build in the next map or the one after that?
