I know that a lot of nether expansion and world expansion ideas/suggestions have been rejected in the past, but with the new up date coming out soon, that all important quartz is not going to be obtainable unless some alteration to the nether is made.

My suggestion is that the nether is increased in size (amount of increase down to Intelli's discretion) I think that a double in the size of the nether would be an adequate increase, allowing players to get quartz for light sensors and quartz blocks etc. It will also bring in some areas of nether fortresses that were just out of reach and bring in some more glowstone.

Please post any feedback you have on the idea.

I think this was already suggested for the same reason? I believe Intelli stated that it was not decided yet. Can't find the thread tho :/

This has been suggested more times than I can remember, and has always been shot down. I don't foresee this post breaking that trend anytime soon :/

This is very different to all other expansion suggestions as a new block that is only obtainable in the nether is been introduced to the game. This is now a valid suggestion, unless Intelli has another way of introducing the block to MR.

Then again, with the introduction of new blocks, it might just happen. That'd be nice.

An idea has already been accepted by the Admins to add a nether to the wilderness. Patience.

That suggestion states that a small area of the nether be reset presumably multiple times depending on the supply of the items in the nether, I believe that's why that suggestion was rejected.
