I'm in the process of covering the destroyed desert with grass/dirt. Similar to what Arcane did to the desert below their main building.

Actually I think the best way to protect a desert is too put signs all over it, saying claimed land, do not take sand, take what is needed leave top layer sand, or do not remove sand or you will be banned. I'm not sure that could get someone banned, but signs should help a lot.

I've begun repairing the desert pictured below yesterday, and have made much progress since the picture was taken.

I completely agree. Maby staff could roll some of it back. Even if sand is needed its not that hard to make it look good, and get lots of sand at the same time

Yeah... but, are you not the person in the guild making that giant hole next to the outpost?
Anyway OP that looks terrible, some peeps just do not know how too mine sand.

Who cares about how to mine sand. I'm normally looking for the sandstone under it anyway.

Props to those that want to fix it, but sand is like glowstone to be honest, I get it whenever I can. (and oddly enough I've found pockets of GS in the ceilings.)

Worm lol. I haven't really started terraforming it at all... I put up a beacon pyramid, and mined about .0001% of it, in which I made sure had a top layer of sand. There is however a giant hole (GIANT) going to bed rock, and many ugly things by it, but I didn't do those . Don't Worm Im not going to make it look like tnt rained from the sky onto it.

I still have no clue what OP means though
