I was recently banned, and i accept that and will wait for an apeal approval or denial.

But, i would ask that the rules please be updated and in one central easy to see/find place for new or returning players. Having your rules page, then a F.A.Q. only found in the bans section and another one linked on that FAQ, then a bunch more that are only known to old players of the server really sucks.

I stated some of this in my apeal thread, but i would really hate to see this happen again because the rules are spread out, vauge/not defined (such as griefing since it means something completely different on this server from what everyone i know has understood for years now), outdated, or simply not stated in writing.

You have a valid point here. I guess some people would find it hard to find the rules, in some special cases. I would modify the suggestion to "make rules easier to access by adding appropriate links at the end of "MineRealm Rules" on the sticked thread "MineRealm Survival Server Information"".

If I remember correctly, Rokkr stated that he was reviewing some of the rules and creating new ones that are intrinsically known in the community but unknown t new players.

I think the rules themselves are just fine as is. However, I do think that we should have our operating definitions of griefing and looting in the Rules thread. Some kids are you young to know what "griefing" is, a problem that has come up in ban appeals before. And others are dense and attempt to stretch and evade the rules on the basis of semantics, so I think making the wording a bit more concrete would be a good plan.

Definitions
Griefing: Changing another player's build in any way without permission, either by placing or removing blocks. Griefing structures in public realms is against the rules, even if the area appears abandoned.
Looting: Stealing any items from a chest you do not own and do not have permission to take from. Looting in public realms is against the rules.

A list of illegal things I made (I've updated it a bit):

Griefing (breaking other people's stuff)
Looting (stealing from a chest in the overworld)
Swearing (what it sounds like)
X-raying (hacking to see ores)
Flying/Speedhacking (hacking to fly or go faster than you could normally)
Luring (tricking people into coming to the Nether so you can kill them)
Snowballing/Lava PVPing (PVPing someone who has it off)
Spamming (saying pointless things to fill up the chat)
Scamming (promising to give items or credits and not giving them)
Advertising (trying to get people to go on another server)
Duping (creating items out of nowhere)
Other hacking (reach-hacking, kill aura, block nuking, etc.)
General rudeness/harassment (bothering people)
Evading a ban (getting on the server with an alternate account despite being banned)
Exploiting (taking advantage of a glitch)

Being an absolute idiot and ragequitting the server because you were arguing with Staff about what the rules are, and surprise, they don't want you on the server. You missed that one.

Oh, and goodbye posts tend to end in forum bans, as well as the occasional in-game ban.
