Like Origami said, this has been denied. It would basically allow everybody to have a second inventory available whenever they are in the overworld, since /trade is accessible from everywhere. People would just /trade and use the ender chest to store items when their inventory filled up.

I also vote no. I do not understand the difference (between using trade and spawn) but there is a enderchest at spawn. I believe this is also available anywhere in the overworld. An enderchest in the trade room could be abused (I cannot think of a way how of the top of my head but...). I think one being at spawn makes one in the trade room redundant.

I want to add that I think an enderchest at spawn is a good Idea. While I don't want to dismiss what OrigamiElephant and jackavsfan said, the double inventory issue is an advantage on any server where someone had donated an enderchest to the spawn realm. Not allowing one near a TP area may seem to defeat some of the difficulty of a survival server but it's more of a communitly thing. They can be crafted and placed anywhere.

PS - I am really not trying to troll, I will take the time to search the forums on this topic. I doubt anything said in other threads will change my opinion on keeping the spawn enderchest (and I know thats not being suggested here).

Difference between /trade and /spawn is that /trade will get you back to the same location and /spawn will not, so /trade with an enderchest could be easily exploited and I agree that an enderchest shouldn't be there. I just hadn't thought of this when I made this thread.

Having one at spawn is fine. That one is important because new people use it to store their valuables until they have a realm. The problem with having one in the trade room is that you can /trade to teleport back to the spot you were at before. So it provides a double inventory if, for instance, you run out of inventory space while deep in the mine, or while very far from home.

So I had this big long answer and lost it looking up the spelling for completely. I will save you all of it and get to the last thought.

Remember that if you are in trade and type /trade again (as you can't get to trade without typing /trade first) you get TP'ed back to where you were when you typed /trade (I think I subconsciously worded that so it was hard to understand). I forgot this and put my foot in my mouth above (why you should never post an opinion without carfully thinking it through and maybe stepping away from the computer to think about it for a few minutes).

I would like to see enderchests in trade to help with trading but I agree that it is not a good idea (and simply not going to happen, Intelli already shot it down). I was going to change my vote. Now that I remember about the special /trade TP thing I will stand by my first choice (and shut up).
