It's alright for some. I spent the day with my dog.

Spent it going utterly insane. A day well spent, in my book.

Worth mentioning that my book is a pile of old leaves found in a gutter, which I have based my entire life around.

Why the hell should someone showing that they are grateful for people be assigned to a specific date? Not that I am grateful for anybody to begin with, but still.

Personally, I see no reason to marry appreciation or affection with a specific day... though I'm not one to do things for other people based on what I want.

Techno, you touch upon a very obvious point... show appreciation/etc. always. That said, I want to leave this here for everyone to read and reflect upon, because I am half crazed with lack of sleep, and have an unnatural attraction to inspiring disturbing thoughts.

The very brief vita of St Valentine has him refusing to deny Christ before the "Emperor Claudius" in the year 280. Before his head was cut off, this Valentine restored sight and hearing to the daughter of his jailer. Jacobus makes a play with the etymology of "Valentine", "as containing valour".

Meh I was at school about to literally strangle a friend for calling another closer friend unseen words of horror. But I got to cuddle and hug the closer friend so it was a regular life in the day of krin.
