There are no paradoxes in math.

You can't go from x^(2/2) to sqrt(x^2).

It is true that |x| = sqrt(x^2). But I don't see you substitute sqrt(x^2) for |x|.

It is also true that x = [sqrt(x)]^2. In the case of x<0 and imaginary numbers are computed, it is still true. In short, order matters. You must square root before you square. Otherwise, you end up with incorrect results.

Here are some (clichéd) math jokes:

Intelli = int(el^2)/i, where n, t, e, i and l are real, distinct numbers. i is an imaginary number.

If you multiply 'Intelli' with anyone else who does not have an imaginary number (mathematical form of friendship), you could say that their relationship is... complex.

You could also say that part of Intelli is not real, or... imaginary.

Most of the time, when you try and find the roots of 'Intelli' through any form, it is quite likely to be...irrational.

If 'Intelli' tried to integrate himself using calculus, he might not be very... (function)al

'Intelli' has an sometimes has an irrational hatred of trigonometry, especially when finding angles like... sin(π/7.2)

Finally, if 'Intelli' ate π, then finding some of his identitie might not be so... complex.
